Welcome to Brackenridge Plantation Park & Campground.
Nature at its Best!
Situated on beautiful Lake Texana, the Park provides outstanding entertainment and recreational opportunities for family, business, and social activities.
Get distracted from your “everyday life” by 300 acres of many opportunities for relaxation, water recreation, fishing, and camping. Current additional recreational activities include: hike & bike trails, bird watching, swimming (at your own risk), playgrounds, sand volleyball, basketball, gator golf, an equestrian trail, a nature trail, and a day-use area. In the coming months, we will be introducing some new activities including a paintball course, a softball field and soccer fields, as well as a concession stand.
The Brackenridge Plantation Park consists of approximately 275 acres. The Campground covers approximately 85 of the 275 acres.
If a "primitive” camping experience is what you are searching for, visit our Mustang Wilderness Campground. Located near Ganado on Lake Texana, it is 250 acres of wooded lakeshore.
Upwards of 400,000 recreational visits are made to Lake Texana annually, including campers, picnickers, boaters, fishermen, bird watchers, wildlife enthusiasts, and sightseers.
Both Parks (Brackenridge Plantation & Mustang Wilderness Campground) are owned and operated by the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority. Our trained and dedicated staff make sure the campgrounds are clean, safe, and fun! We operate our campground on a first come, first served basis. We ask your help to make your time here enjoyable. Our Park personnel and the entire LNRA staff work very hard to offer you the best recreational opportunities possible. Just like in your own home, we like to know who our visitors are and where they are from. We require all campers and guests to register before entering the campground. We welcome you to Brackenridge Park and Lake Texana.
