17th Annual Texana Chili Spill Planned for November 9-11th
The 17th Annual Texana Chili Spill will be held November 9-11 at the Brackenridge Recreation Complex Main Event Center, sponsored by the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority and the Jackson County Go-Texan Committee.
This year’s event will include a Veterans Ceremony, an Appreciation Dinner and a fireworks display on Thursday, November 9 beginning at 5:00 p.m.All Veterans, family and friends are invited to the dinner.
Friday’s events include Salsa, Sausage, and Margarita competitions and the Go-Texan Dutch Oven Dessert Cook-off.
Join us Saturday for the chili, seafood gumbo, and bean cook-off, along with shopping at the Texana Market, Helicopter Rides, Hot Air Balloons, and a Kids Zone.The Jackson County Go-Texan Committee will also host its annual Bar-B-Que cook-off and horseshoe and washer tournament.The winning team with this year’s 1st place brisket will receive a whopping $3,000 in cash Prize money!
DJ Mark Lopez will be spinning your favorite tunes starting on Friday night and throughout the event on Saturday and Saturday night. You can bet he is sure to get the party rocking!
Parking fee for the weekend is only $ 5.00 per vehicle so load up the whole group and join us for a weekend of good food and plenty of fun.
