Mustang Wilderness Campground
Mustang Wilderness Campground offers adventure seekers a more primitive camping experience. The campground is located on Lake Texana near Ganado. It consists of 250 acres of wooded lakeshore and has been designated as a “primitive” area for camping, fishing, and hiking. Motor vehicles are NOT ALLOWED. Pack in only. An access road, parking area, and boat launch are located in this area. The Wilderness Campground has 29 sites. There are no facilities at the campsites other than stone fire-rings.
To get there from Edna city limits take U.S. 59 E, 8 miles to Ganado; Loop 522, 1 mile; FM 2982, right 2.2 miles; County Rd. 249, ½ mile to the entrance.
