Registration begins @ 7 am and the race begins @ 8 am!
This
year’s event will be held at Brackenridge
Main Event Center on April 5, 2014 with registration beginning at 7am. The event includes a 5K and is part
of the annual Run for God 5k Challenge graduation race. The 12-week Run for God
program teaches faith and endurance through a practical guide to running and
provides a training plan according to the challenge. This year’s Run for God –
National Race Series experience is centered around the verse of Isaiah 40:31,
which says, “But those who wait upon the
Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles,
they shall RUN and not be weary, they shall walk and not be faint.”
“Run for God’s mission is to prepare individuals to
be better witnesses for Christ physically, mentally and spiritually,” says
Mitchell Hollis, author and founder of Run for God. “As runners, and more
specifically, Christian runners, we often gain our strength both physically and
spiritually from God’s word. With the
Run for God Race Series we didn’t just want to put on “Another” race. Not only do we want to celebrate those who
run to win, but we also want to celebrate those who run for the satisfaction of
knowing they have accomplished something, something that they may have never
tried before.”
