Event Information:

The 19th Annual Texana Chili Spill will be held on November 7th-9th, at the Brackenridge Recreation Complex Main Event Center, sponsored by the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority and the Jackson County Go-Texan Committee.

To kick off this this year’s festivities, on Thursday, November 7th at 5:00 p.m. there will be a Veterans Ceremony and Appreciation Dinner sponsored by HEB! The night will conclude with a fireworks display sponsored by Whataburger. All Veterans, family and friends are invited!

The cook-off portion of the event starts Friday, November 8th with the ever-popular Salsa and Margarita Competitions! Additional events include Chef’s Choice Competition, Sausage competition, and the Go-Texan Dutch Oven Dessert Cook-off. Cook-off awards start at 9:00 p.m. at the main stage.

Join us for a full and final day of fun on Saturday, November 9th! Cook-off competitions start at 9:00 a.m. with the first ever Bloody Mary Competition presented by Tito’s Handmade Vodka followed by Beans, Go-Texan Jackpot Chicken, Gumbo, Go-Texan Jackpot Ribs, Chili, and Go-Texan Brisket Competitions. The Whataburger Jalapeno Eating Contest starts at 6:00 p.m. at the main stage with cook-off awards and Scholarship Auction to follow. Cook-off competition prizes vary depending on the category. Additional activities lined up for Saturday is the Wine/Beer Garden, Kids Que Competition, Kids Zone, Helicopter Rides, and the Texana Market! The Kids Zone will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will include inflatables, a craft zone, face painting, and nature exhibits. The Craft Zone will be equipped with 4 different stations including Rock Painting, “Make Your Own Sand Art Bracelet”, paint an American Flag, and the last station will have markers and crayons for some coloring page fun!

Saturday afternoon from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., join us at the Wine and Beer Garden, as we spotlight local acoustic artists! Taking the stage first from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. is the Pearlsnaps Band. Followed by Stephanie Ross and Rick Evens from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. and Jackson County’s very own, Zachary Grant, from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Lavaca Bluffs Winery will be on-site selling a wide variety of wine from 11:00 a.m. -10:30 p.m.! Wine can be purchased by the glass or by the bottle! Beer concessions will be open from 11:00 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. as well. Making their first appearance at the Texana Chili Spill Wine/Beer Garden is the Old Stogie Mobile Cigar Lounge. From 11:00 a.m. – 10:30 p.m. you can stop by Old Stogie and check out their supply of different flavored cigars!

Bring your appetite because there also will be several food vendors on-site selling your favorite festival foods and desserts throughout the event!
