The 20th Annual Texana Chili Spill will be held November 11-13, 2021 at the Brackenridge Recreation Complex Main Event Center, sponsored by the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority and the Jackson County Go-Texan Committee.
This year’s event will include a Veterans Ceremony, an Appreciation Dinner sponsored by HEB, and a fireworks display on Thursday, November 11th beginning at 5:00 p.m. All Veterans, family and friends are invited.
The cook-offs begin Friday, November 12th with the ever-popular Salsa and Margarita Competitions. Additional events include Chef’s Choice competition, Sausage competition, and the Go-Texan Dutch Oven Dessert Cook-off.
Join us for a full and final day of fun on Saturday, November 13th. Cook-off competitions start at 9:00 a.m. with the Bloody Mary competition followed by Beans, Go-Texan Jackpot Chicken, Gumbo, Go-Texan Jackpot Ribs, Chili, and Go-Texan Brisket competitions, along with our KidsQue competition and Cornhole Jackpot Tournament. The Jackson County Go-Texan Committee’s 1st place brisket winning team will receive a whopping $3500 in cash prize money and can also enter the Top Gun Jackpot for a chance to win extra cash money.
Also join us Saturday in the Wine/Beer Garden as we spotlight local acoustic artists. You can grab some food and a drink while you listen to these artists perform their own music.
Also, there will be shopping at the Texana Market, Helicopter Rides, and a FREE Kids Zone. There also will be a yummy variety of food, drink, and snacks for purchase.
