General Questions

What is your pet policy?

Pets are to be kept quiet and secured by a leash of 6 feet or less. OR confined. Pets may not be left unattended. Please clean up after them. Aggressive pet breeds such as Pit-bull, Rottweiler, Doberman or any mix of these breeds will NOT be allowed in any part of the Recreation Complex. Maximum 3 pets are allowed per site.

Is there a designated swimming area at Texana or Brackenridge Park?

No. You are allowed to swim at your own risk anywhere you’d like. However, we recommend not swimming in the cove areas of the lake.


Do you sell fishing bait?

Yes. At our Brackenridge Park Office store we have frozen shrimp, shad, liver & worms. We do NOT sell live bait.

Do you need a fishing license to fish at Lake Texana?

Yes. The state of Texas fishing rules and regulations apply while fishing at Lake Texana.

What kind of fish are in the lake?

Blue catfish, Largemouth bass, White crappie, White bass, and Sunfish.

How many people per campsite?

We do not have a limit on how many people per campsite. However, we do ask that our guests use their good judgment when planning their stay and to not encroach on someone else’s campsite.

Do you accommodate 30 amp or 50 amp hook-ups?

Yes. All of our campsites at each park have 30 amp and 50-amp hook ups.

How many vehicles per campsite?

3 vehicles per campsite total. 2 vehicle passes are included with your campsite the 3rd vehicle pass can be purchased for $5.00/per day. If you will be having more than 3 vehicles, they will have to be parked in overflow parking. EVERY VEHICLE NEEDS A HANG TAG.

If I stay at one park, do I have access to the other?

Absolutely! As a guest at our parks, you will be given a gate code. That gate code will get you into both parks.

When is the Nature Center open?

Majority of the year Ranger Cindy has the Nature Center open from Wednesday- Sunday 8 am-4:30 pm. This is not a set schedule and can change depending on prior engagements/holidays. Please call the Texana Park Office before planning a trip to the Nature Center to ensure its open.

Do you have kayak or canoe rentals?

Yes. If you go to the ‘Things to Do’ tab on our website, kayak rentals will pop up and that will provide you will all the information you need.

What is the difference between partial and full hook-up?

Partial hook-ups include electricity and water. Full hook-ups include water, electricity and sewer.

Can we bring a golf cart or an ATV?

No motorized vehicles allowed including children’s toys. For example, Rangers, golf carts, four wheelers, power wheels, hover boards, etc. are not allowed.

Does the store sell ice and firewood?

Yes. 10Ib and 20Ib bags of ice are for sale at $1.75 and $3.00. Firewood is sold for $7.00 a bundle.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

We have FREE Wi-Fi hotspots throughout each park. Depending on where your campsite is, will depend on if you get signal or not. Wi-Fi is NOT guaranteed. Please do not rely on it.

Do you sell propane?

No. United Ag and Tractor Supply in Edna sells propane.


Can I bring my own grill or fire ring?

You can bring your own grill but not fire ring. At each of our campsites, we provide a fire ring for you.

How deep is the lake?

The lake level changes daily, please check www.lnra.org for current levels.

About 6.8 miles outside of Edna, TX on State Highway 111 South
