Hike and Bike Trails

Information

Take a walk in the woods where deer, birds, and a variety of other wildlife play. Majestic, old and beautiful trees as well as many other plants are abundant.

Need a quiet place to rest, relax, and reflect on the wonders of nature? Park benches are located along the trails for your comfort and convenience. Grab a hand crafted walking stick from our park stores and head out on an adventure.

The hike & bike trail at Brackenridge Park is a 5 mile trail that meanders through the park along the shoreline. The 7 hike and bike trails at Texana Park total 6 miles. It makes walking, jogging, running, or biking a scenic pleasure.

Important Information!

Attention Brackenridge Recreation Complex Guests: Starting December 1, 2022, the overnight campground portion of the Texana Park & Campground will be CLOSED! We will be replacing the bridge that provides access to the campground area. We expect the project to take several months to complete and we will reopen the park as soon as the project is finished.

During this time, the Texana Day Use Area, Texana Community Education Center, Texana Pavilion (for rental) and Texana Boat Ramp will remain OPEN as those amenities are not affected by the Bridge Replacement. It is important to note that ALL hike/bike trails NOT located within the Texana Day Use Area are CLOSED. This includes the “Bobcat Track” trail that is accessible from the Texana Park Office. There is a map below for reference. If you have any questions, please contact the Texana Park Office at 361-782-5718.

Brackenridge Park & Campground is open and accepting reservations. For more information on booking at Brackenridge, contact 361-782-5456 or visit https://www.brackenridgepark.com/p/accommodations/...
