23rd Annual Texana Chili Spill & Go-Texan Cook-Off

Event Highlights!

Veterans Ceremony This year’s event will include a Veterans Ceremony, an Appreciation Dinner sponsored by HEB, and a fireworks display sponsored by Whataburger on Thursday, November 7th beginning at 5:00 p.m. All Veterans, family and friends are invited to the dinner.

Go-Texan Cook Off Go-Texan will be bringing back their Dutch Oven, Jackpot Chicken, Jackpot Ribs, and Jackpot Brisket cook-offs! Turn-in times vary, see below for more details!

Texana Chili Spill Cook-Off The Texana Chili Spill will be bringing back your favorite cook-off competitions! Categories include Salsa, Margarita, Bloody Mary, Sausage, Chili, Bean, & Gumbo! Turn in times/dates vary, see below for info.

Kids Que Sponsored by Prasek's Hillje Smokehouse The Kids Que is an amateur contest for ages 8-12. The contest is part of the Texana Chili Spill Cook-Off & will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9th. Winners will be announced after the conclusion of judging.

Cornhole Tournament Returning to this year’s event on Saturday, November 9th is the Cornhole Jackpot Tournament!

Wine/Beer Garden Join us in the Wine Garden for LIVE Acoustic performances Friday, November 8th from 7-11PM and Saturday, November 9th from 11AM - 11PM! Lavaca Bluffs and the Beer Ranch will be onsite selling a wide variety drinks from 11am-11pm.

Texana Market Shop the Texana Market at the Texana Chili Spill on Saturday, November 9th Looking to be a vendor? Contact the Main Event Center at 361-782-7272.

Kids Zone The Kids Zone will be open on Saturday Nov. 9th from 10 am to 5 pm. It will include fun inflatables, craft zone, face painting, nature exhibits, and much more!

Texana Heat Jalapeno Eating Contest Starting at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9th is the Texana Heat Jalapeno Eating Contest sponsored by Whataburger! The Contest is FREE and limited to 12 participants.

Helicopter Rides On Nov. 9th, from 10am to 5 pm for $90.00/flight (up to 3 people) you can enjoy a Helicopter Ride that over looks the beautiful Lake Texana!

Food Trucks Through out Chili Spill weekend, there will be several food trucks on site ready to whip up your favorite festival foods!

Get your pits ready 2024 Chili Spill participants because... the 23rd Annual Texana Chili Spill & Go-Texan Cook-Off is returning to the Brackenridge Main Event Center in Edna, TX on November 7-9, 2024!

Registration Information!

This year we are excited to implement our NEW online registration process! All Cook-Off registration entry forms must be completed ONLINE.

Early Registration for 2023 participants begins on Monday, September 2nd and ends on Monday, September 30th. ALL 2023 participants should have received an email on August 27th with the Early Registration Online Form link.

Open registration kicks off October 1, 2024. At that time, the link to the online Open Registration Form will be available below. Online registration ends on Wednesday, November 6 ^th at 4:00 p.m.

Texana Chili Spill - Judge Inquiry

Thank you for showing an interest in being a judge for the 23rd Annual Texana Chili Spill!

The event will be held on November 8th - 9th at the Brackenridge Main Event Center!

Please understand this form is an inquiry form ONLY. By submitting this form it does not guarantee you will be a judge. We will accept judges inquiry forms starting Monday, September 30th until October 18th. Judges will be selected on a first come, first serve basis. We will notify you via email starting on October 21st if you are selected to be a judge.

*The number of judges needed depends on the amount of entries per category.*

Judging Rules:
1. Judges must be 21 years of age
2. Judges must arrive 10 minutes prior to the category turn-in time
3. No smoking or vaping is allowed inside the judging tent
4. Only judges, table monitors, and staff are allowed in the judging tent while judging is underway.
