BRC Adventure Days

Event Information!

ONLINE REGISTRATION STARTS WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22ND AT 9:00AM!

Every day is an Adventure at the Brackenridge Recreation Complex! We hope kiddos aged 8 - 12 will join us for all of our Adventure Day Activities!

Each session starts at 8:30 am and concludes at 11:30 am with the exception of the final session, Party in the Park Day, where lunch will be provided. That session will conclude at 12:00 pm.

Pre-registration is required for all Adventure Day activities. This helps us ensure that we have adequate supplies and staff. All registrations must be received by May 29, 2026.

Each Adventure Day Program is only $10.00!

BRC Youth Program registration will be done ONLINE! Click on the link below to register and pay the associated fees for your participant! Forms cannot be submitted until payment is complete. (link will not be activated until April 22, 2026).

June 10: Nature Art in the Park

Get ready for Adventures at Brackenridge Park — a creative outdoor art adventure! Kids will explore the park and collect treasures to turn them into amazing nature-inspired arts and crafts. Join us exploring, creating, and letting our imaginations run wild in the great outdoors!

Cost: $10.00

June 17: Whisk it reel good!

Get ready for Whisk It Reel Good!, a tasty adventure where kids become junior chefs with the help of Courtney Mercer, Jackson Co. Extension Agent! They’ll get a box of ingredients, mix up their creativity, and cook up their very own delicious dishes. Kids will have the opportunity to enjoy their tasty creations and take-home kitchen skills that they will learn throughout this adventure!

Cost: $10

This class is limited to only 16 participants!

June 24: Fishing Adventures

Reel Adventures at Brackenridge Park is a fun-filled fishing adventure for kids! Participants will learn how to identify local fish, explore basic fishing skills, and enjoy tasting delicious fried fish. This adventure wraps up with an exciting fishing tournament where young anglers can put their new skills to the test. Join us for some hands-on learning, outdoor fun, and friendly competition!

July 8: Weird Science

Weird Science Adventure: Where Curiosity Gets Wacky! Get ready for an adventure into the world of science offering exciting, hands-on experiments and fun activities for kids that spark curiosity and creativity. Children will discover how science shapes the world around us, from mixing potions and launching rockets to building projects and creating wacky items to continue learning at home. Come have fun bringing science to life!

Cost: $10.00

July 15: Party in the Park

Don’t Miss out on some summer fun at the last adventure day!

Brackenridge Summer Showdown: Kids vs. Staff. This is an action-packed day full of classic summer fun! Campers will face off against staff in an epic kickball game and a splash-tastic water battle, then cool down by making homemade ice cream together. We’ll wrap up with hotdogs and karaoke as everyone celebrates a day of teamwork, laughter, and the last Adventure Day of the summer.
