BRC Summer Fun Schedule

Attention all Health Care workers, Police, Fire Fighters, EMS, Game Wardens, and all other area First Responders and Health Care Heroes!! You are invited to stay at The Brackenridge Recreation Complex for our 6^th Annual First Responders and Health Care Heroes Appreciation Weekend!

If you camp at Brackenridge or Texana Parks and Campgrounds the weekend of May 30^th – June 1^st, we would like to offer you a discount where if you rent one night of camping you get the second night free. Book your Camping Spot online using the promo code HERO2025 and show us your Military or valid work ID at check-in and we’ll apply the discount.

In honor of our Annual First Responders Appreciation Weekend, we are thrilled to host our 1st ever 5K! Please join us for the Red, White, and Blue 5K Color Fun Run! The event will take place on May 31st at Brackenridge Park & Campground. Registration is only $30 per person and will include a finishers medal, bib, hydration stations, and post-race refreshments! All First Responders will receive 1/2 off the entry fee! Onsite registration will begin at 7:30AM with the race beginning at 8:00AM. CASH ONLY.

To save time on event day, participants may fill out their registration form prior to onsite registration. Forms are available BELOW. Best part of the event? 50% of the proceeds will be donated to a local First Responder Organization! Grab your friends and family and join us for this new and fun event!

On Saturday, July 19th, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. please join us at the Brackenridge Park & Campground for our 6th Annual BRC End of Summer Bash! Activities include live music, beer and wine vendors, water slides, a Kid’s Fun Zone, Face Painting, food trucks, and an outdoor game area! Event admission is just $10.00 per person, which gives children and adults access to everything the event has to offer! Children under the age of 2 are FREE!

First up on our entertainment lineup is Jackson County Native, Chris Zuber from 5:00-6:30 p.m.! Next, making their debut at the BRC is Greg Morales and the Steele Revival Band! They will be playing from 7:00 - 9:30 PM!

Joining us again is The Beer Ranch from El Campo! Be sure to stop by and grab a margarita, beer, or mixed drink! Bring your appetite because we’ll have several food trucks on-site serving up your favorite festival foods from 4:00-9:30 p.m.!

One of the many activities your family will enjoy is the Kid’s Fun Zone! We'll have a craft station set up for the kiddos from 4:00-8:00 p.m.! Make sure to bring an extra set of clothes for the kids because there will be water slides available for them to enjoy from 4:00-8:00 p.m.! There will also be a regular dry bounce house for those who may not want to get wet. Other fun family activities include the Outdoor Game Area which consists of Cornhole, Giant Jenga, Tic-Tac-Toe, Connect Four, Ninja Warrior Steps and a Hay Slide!

Event admission is just $10.00 per person, which gives children and adults access to everything the event has to offer! Children under the age of 2 are FREE!
