Disc Golf

The 9 Hole Course is approximately 2,900 Feet long and winds through trees and open grass fairways. The fairways are mowed on a regular basis. The distance between holes ranges from 270 Feet to 500 Feet. Play through 9 holes and back for 18 holes of play. There are benches provided in the shade of large oak trees along the course for players or guests to relax.
There is NO CHARGE to play Disc Golf. Course maps and score cards are available at the Park Store. Bring your own discs or beginners who would like to try the game, Disc Golf sets are available to rent from the Park Store for $5.00 per day.

Gator Golf

Play a round at our popular Gator Golf course. This miniature golf course features 9 holes that are sure to challenge. The course is free to play if you have your own putter and golf balls. Forget your golf equipment at home? The Brackenridge Park office has putters in various lengths available for daily rental, along with a golf balls for just $3.00/club.


Sand Volleyball

A summer time favorite, available year round! Play a friendly game of volleyball on our sand volleyball court located near the Brackenridge Park office. Volleyballs are available for loan at the park store.


Playgrounds

Brackenridge Park and Campground boasts 2 large play ground areas and one small play ground area for kiddos to enjoy. They are located in the campground nestled among the oak trees and campsites to allow easy access for all guests. Playgrounds can also be found in Texana Park and Campground. A small playground can be found in the center of the first camping loop nearest Comfort Station #1. The large playground is ideally located in the second camping loop near Comfort Station #4. Another large playground is located in the Texana Park Day Use Area just across from the Nature Center. The Day Use Area does require a purchase of a $5 Day Pass for your vehicle unless you are a registered park guest at either park. The Day Use Areas located off of HWY 111 also has a playground for visitors to enjoy. The HWY 111 Day Use Area is FREE to the public and closes at dusk.

Basketball

A full size basketball court is located near the Brackenridge Park store and at the day use area. Basketballs are available for loan at the Brackenridge Park office.

Softball

For a quick game of softball or kickball, you can't find a better field than Brackenridge Recreation Complex's softball field. And the best part it...it is free to the public. The field also offers bleachers for fans to gather to cheer on their team. Call Brackenridge Park for reservations at (361) 782-5456.
