Adventure Days "Busy Beekeepers"

Each session starts at 8:30 am and concludes at 11:30 am with the exception of the final session, Paintball Party and Water Games, where lunch will be provided. That session will conclude at 12:00 pm.

Pre-registration is required for all Adventure Day activities. This helps us ensure that we have adequate supplies and staff. All registrations must be received by June 7, 2017. Please note the "Fun with Bots" class on June 28, 2017 will be limited to 30 participants.

Registration cost varies with each session from FREE to $15.00. Participants can also purchase an Adventure Days t-shirt for only $10.00.

June 14, 2017 "Busy Beekeepers"
As Busy Beekeepers, students will discover the fun and educational world of the honeybee. Kids will learn how bees work and the vital role they play in our food system. They will look at a honeybee hive and learn about the challenges bees face. Kids will make a craft from honeybee products to take home. This activity will take place at Brackenridge Park Hafernick Center. Cost is only $5.

June 21, 2017 "Skins, Skulls, and Scat"
Ranger Cindy will teach kids how to identify wildlife based on what they leave behind. Kids will know if a deer, raccoon, rabbit, or any other wildlife has been in the area just by looking at their tracks and scat. They will also see several native skins and skulls. Before leaving, each child will create their own track to take home! This activity will take place at Brackenridge Park Hafernick Center. Cost is only $5.

June 28, 2017 "Fun with Bots"
Do you enjoy building and creating? Then come explore how to design different robots while discovering how robots are used in real life. This adventure will have campers building awe-inspiring robots using some of the newest robotics technology. This activity will take place at Brackenridge Park Hafernick Center. Cost is only $5.

July 5, 2017 "Fishing Frenzy"
During the Fishing Frenzy Adventure, kids will be able to enter into a fishing derby challenging all who participate to see who will catch the biggest, smallest, or the most fish. Medals will be awarded to the winners! This activity will take place at the MEC Catch & Release Pond. Cost is FREE!

July 12, 2017 "Party in the Park"
What better way to celebrate the last Adventure of the summer than with a paintball party and lots of fun summer games! This year we will have NEW paintball gear that has a lower impact and is perfect for kids of all ages!! Don’t forget to bring clothes that you can get wet in too. Lunch will also be provided before we say goodbye to the kids for another summer. This activity will take place at the Brackenridge Park Paintball Course and will end at noon. Cost is only $15.
