Brackenridge Winter Carnival & Snow Day Info!
Snow is once again in the forecast at the Brackenridge Main Event Center! On January 26, 2019 we are bringing in over 80,000 pounds of snow! The 9th Annual Brackenridge Winter Carnival and Snow Day is an event that visitors as well as LNRA employees and volunteers love!It is great fun for kids of all ages.... from toddlers to adults! Nothing but smiles on the faces that day!80,000 pounds of snow means GIANT slides, BIGGER play areas and more FUN!!The GIANT snow slide is 8-foot-tall and about 30 foot long!The smaller slide is 5-foot-tall and about 20 foot long…. great for the younger crowd! Kids of all ages can slide down the giant snow slides, build a snowman or even make a snow angel.This year we will be refreshing the snow in the outside snow play area periodically to improve the snowball making ability! Be careful when you venture into that area as you are sure to encounter a good snowball fight or two!
This year, we are determined to make it the BEST Snow Day EVER which is why we’re bringing in NEW, FUN inflatables and games! First on the list is Snow Mountain! Snow Mountain is 3 stories high and is made for adults and children. You simply climb up the stairs, sit in your inflatable snow tube and enjoy a stream of colorful lights while you go down spinning and twisting! Thank you to Inteplast Group and Bickerstaff, LLP for sponsoring this FUN activity! Another fun, interactive game making its debut at Snow Day is Ice Attack!! Ice Attack is an out of this world experience! An extraterrestrial, interactive Arena with which you take on your friends and truly find out who is the best. Moreover, you can play this game 1 on 1 or with 2 teams of 2 players. There will also be Bumper Cars for kids of all ages to enjoy and a Mickey Mouse Bounce House/Ball Pit for the little ones! We are very excited to be adding a Kids Craft Zone to this year’s event! There will be 3 different stations set up for the kiddos to enjoy. For an additional cost of $5 per canvas & coffee mug, kids will be able to paint their own snowman on a canvas or color their own coffee mug to take home! All supplies will be provided. The other station is FREE and will be equipped with crayons and markers for some winter craft fun that each child can take home!
The S’more Making Station will be returning where you can make your own yummy S’mores! Plus, don’t miss out on one of our more popular attractions…. a festive hay ride through Brackenridge Park where you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the beautiful park! Bring your appetite too as Georgia Mae’s, Trevino’s, and Long’s Mobile Café will be on site serving your favorite foods!
