First session is limited to kids ages 9-12, the other two sessions are available for kids ages 8-12. There will only be 10 spots available for each camp session

Experience and learn about the outdoors and nature through a four day program conducted by Ranger Cindy at the BRC Nature Center in Texana Park. There will only be 10 spots available for each camp session. Camp registration is only $100.00 per participant. Register today!

Registration forms should be submitted to the Brackenridge Park Office located at 891 Brackenridge Pkwy. Edna. Spots are only reserved once COMPLETE Registration Form and fees are received. Survivor Camp................June 12-15

This camp is designed to teach the keys to survival outdoors. Our campers will have a week of adventure based games and competitions that develop outdoor living skills while exploring and learning about nature. Campers will learn to navigate the great outdoors, build shelters, go on treasure hunts, learn to fish and build fires, identify useful plants and experience all types of "Survivor" type outdoor activities. The campers will end their week of "Survivor" camp with a trip to the Janak Alligator Farm! This session is limited to kids ages 9-12.

Fishing Camp...........June 26-29

Campers will be able to experience a week full of fishing and water based fun and learning experiences. From casting to tying lines, campers will learn the basics of different types of freshwater fishing. Campers will also explore the types of fish and other organisms in Lake Texana while learning about water quality and water conservation. They will kayak, become a Jr. Angler, use a GPS, tie knots, and of course fish! The Campers will also attend scuba diving school so that they can learn to dive and snorkel before camp ends!This session is open to kids ages 8-12.

Science Camp...............July 10-13

This camp is all about the science in nature. With so many aspects of science out there, this camp will introduce the campers into a different field each day. Campers will learn the basics of what nature scientists do in their fields of study, from botany to astronomy, zoology to marine biology, Using nature as the subject, campers will begin to make sense of the natural world through hands-on experiments. To end the week, campers will take a trip to the Texas Zoo for an insight into the scientists that work there!
