Join Dr. Mark “Merriwether” Vorderbruggen for a foraging plant walk at the Brackenridge Recreation Complex on Wednesday, February 22, 2023! Over a 4-hour period, Dr. Vorderbruggen will teach the basics of foraging including foraging ethics and techniques and will lead us on a hike on the trails of Texana Park to learn about the culinary and medicinal uses of the wild plants growing in this region. Learn to live with the land and not “off” the land. Dr. Vorderbruggen is one of the leading experts on Foraging in the State of Texas and we are thrilled to welcome him to the BRC!
The class will take place at the Texana Community Education Center, which is located within the Texana Park & Campground Day Use Area. The class is limited to only 24 participants!! Registration forms can be found below.
