Camp Mauritz
Camp Mauritz is owned by Jackson County and managed by LNRA. This camp is primarily used by scout groups. Located on the banks of Sandy Creek, with its primitive facilities, Camp Mauritz is a great place to spend a weekend learning and practicing scout survival techniques. No air conditioning, or RV's here. Just a great place to pitch a tent and join together as a group.
Reservations for camping, canoes and facility use must be received and approved at the Brackenridge Park Office by Wednesday prior to the scheduled activity. Campsite reservations are on a first come first served basis. For more information about Camp Mauritz, or to make reservations for your group, please contact the Brackenridge Park office at (361) 782-5456.
