SATURDAY - June 22nd Check-In at 8:30 a.m. Events start at 9:30 a.m. Showmanship at Halter, Hunter Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle, Hunter Seat Equitation, Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship, Western Riding, Reining & Trail

Brackenridge Nature Camp
Brackenridge Recreation Complex is excited to announce that it will be offering the Brackenridge Nature Camp at Texana Park this summer. Participants can choose between two different weeks to attend camp: June 24th - 27th or July 15th - 18th
If you like to have fun outdoors while learning about nature, taking hikes, doing crafts, and fishing then the Brackenridge Nature Camp is the perfect adventure for you!
Registration is limited to children ages 8 - 12 and only 12 spots are available per session. Spots are reserved once the registration forms and fees are received. The cost is $75.00 per participant. A scholarship may be available by contacting Cammie Pearson, Recreation Manager at 361-782-7272.
Camp will be held from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm each day. Daily snacks and drinks will be provided during the camp, but campers must bring their own sack lunch.

Brackenridge Adventure Day - Fishing
Brackenridge Recreation Complex is excited to announce that it will be offering a series of youth Adventure Days this summer. Each Adventure Day will offer a different program for children ages 8-12. We hope to create a fun and safe environment that encourages kids to enjoy time outdoors with nature.
The Fishing Adventure Day will be held on Wednesday, June 26th from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. Kids will have the opportunity to fish at the Brackenridge Pond. Children will be dropped off at the Pond behind the Main Event Center in the Brackenridge Recreation Complex. There is no cost for this activity; a drink and snack will be provided.

TETRA Trailride @ Equestrial Trailhead
Arrival and Check-in will be by TETRA at the Equestrian trailhead. Cost for the ride is $40 for the weekend and $20 for Day Riders if you are a TETRA member. For general public, the fees are $45 and $25 respectively. You may join TETRA at the ride and get membership priviliges. Primative and self-contained parking will be available at trailhead on a first come first serve basis.
A silect auction will also be held on Saturday following the potluck. Proceeds will benefit improvements at BRC Equestrian Trail.
Stalls and Hook-ups at the Main Event Center are available by reservation at 361-782-7272. For those interested, a CFC Cowboy Worship will be held on Sunday morning. For more info contact Dr. Bob or Barbara Rawson at 512-847-0521 or doctorbob@austin.rr.com.

Swim-Bike Run's Splash-N-Dash Series Race 2
The Splash & Dash Series consists of four aquathons (swim-run) races at Brackenridge Recreation Complex Pond in Edna, TX on May 31st, June 28th, July 26th, and Aug 23rd at 6:30pm. The event is a 200m swim followed by a 2.5 mile run. Relay teams are welcomed but excluded from the awards. Register on active.com. Water and other nutrition products will be available. Please bring your own swim gear & running gear, including swim caps (required). Stick around for post race festivities, awards/prizes. Lifguards and safety personnel will be present, but you must be comfortable swimming 200 meters in open water before attempting this event.

Brackenridge Recreation Complex is excited to announce that it will be offering a series of youth Adventure Days this summer. Each Adventure Day will offer a different program for children ages 8-12. We hope to create a fun and safe environment that encourages kids to enjoy time outdoors with nature.
The Adventure Day scheduled for Wednesday, July 3rd from 8:30 am to 11:30 am will be held at the Nature Center at Texana Park. Kids will learn what it takes to "Be A Nature Detective". The program will teach children how to look for clues left behind by different types of wildlife that live in the Parks. There is no cost for this activity; a drink and snack will be provided.

July 6th Fireworks Celebration and Antique Tractor Show & Parade
The Antique Tractor Show will be open to the public from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Show will start with tractors arriving early Saturday morning to set up in the grassy area directly in front of the Harry Hafernick Recreation Center. These Antique Tractors will range from very early models from the 1920's to the more recent 1960 models.
The Antique Tractor Parade will start at 3:00 pm where the tractors will be driven thru the Brackenridge Park and Campground.

The Fireworks display will begin at dusk on Saturday evening, July 6th.

The final Brackenridge Adventure Day for the 2013 Summer will be a Paintball/Kickball Party at Brackenridge Park. The party will be held on Wednesday, July 10th from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. Kids will be able to play unlimited paintball or kickball all morning. A hot dog lunch will be served to the children before they leave. All participants should be dropped off at the Paintball course at Brackenridge Park. There is a $10 cost to participate in this activity.

This meeting will consist of fellowship, trailhead and trail work, potlock meal, and riding if desired. If planning to ride a horse on your own please check in at Brackenridge Park Office(TETRA is assuming no liability for horses or riding). Primitive or self-contained camping may be done starting on Friday evening at the trailhead. The cost per horse is $7.50 entry fee plus $2.00 per use of BRC pen. Personal panels may be brought in but must be placed inside of corral at trailhead. Hookups available by reservation at 361-782-7272. Brackenridge Kids Triathalon
This is the fourth race in the LYTE member series. We will see you at SBR of Victoria for packet pickup on Saturday July 27th and then for the race at Brackenridge Recreation Complex on Sunday July 28th.
Please note that your child must have a current USAT membership at the time of the race. They cost $15 for an annual membership and must be presented at the packet pickup.
There are 2 Races...... Kids Age 7-10: 50 meter swim - 3 mile bike (1 loop) - 0.5 mile run Kids Age 11-15: 100 meter swim - 6 mile bike (2 loop) - 1 mile run
A USAT sanctioned event. All youth participants must be a current annual member of USAT. All established USAT rules will be in effect and will be strictly enforced. You must show your child’s USAT member card and your photo ID at packet pick up - no exceptions. No refunds for this event.
